Who are we?

Legacy Builders Academy is a faith based, full service homeschool academy offering instruction for students grade 5th-10th grades, and services for students k-12 and their families in central Alabama.


Our mission is to help families reduce the overwhelm in homeschooling by providing instruction, support, and connection. 

We recognize and affirm that—

  • for many families homeschooling can be overwhelming because they lack a tangible model for what successful home educating looks like.
  • making the decision to leave public education or to  homeschool exclusively can be a scary decision.
  • the decision to homeschool is often scrutinized, especially by members within our community and family.

So, we help you by—

  • Providing instruction - Legacy Builders Academy Microschool

    • Serving Learners 5th-10th grades   
    • Small Class Size
    • Self Paced and Individualized Learning

  • Providing homeschool coaching

    Most people recognize that if you're going to master a skill its best to do it with the help of a coach. 


    Whether you are already homeschooling and need extra support, or are just beginning your homeschooling  journey and need  to ensure that you launch your homeschooling journey the right way we offer 3 coaching packages.

  • Providing administrative assistance

    We ensure that there are no documentation discrepancies.


    Whether you're homeschooling for a season or in it for the long-haul, we take care of all reporting so that you're free to focus on providing the best learning environment. We provide a church enrollment form, report cards, attendance verification and transcripts.

  • Providing connection.

    We encourage our students to further connect with our homeschooling community by engaging with Black Homeschoolers of Birmingham and Birmingham Homeschool Community.
